FIBBER'S DICE
The Game
The dice always get rolled hidden and a player only has to show them when either he has announced a MAX (2+1) or the following player doesn't believe him and asks him to show them. In that case make sure that you click on "Show result to others" and NOT on USE! If you click on USE while you have to show your dice - you lose! If a player has rolled a MAX the following player loses automatically a point because there is no way to top a MAX.
The starting player (at the beginning of the game or after someone has lost a point) doesn't have to reach a certain score. So there is no need for him to fibb. It doesn't matter how low his score is - it is ok.
The following players however always have to announce a higher score than their previous player had announced otherwise they lose. If they don't manage to roll a higher score they can fibb and just announce a higher score. But - if they get caught fibbing they lose.
Scoring Order
31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, double 1s, double 2s, double 3s, double 4s, double 5s, double 6s and the highest score: Max (2 + 1)
Please note that the doubles go extra (a double 3s for example IS NOT 33 !) and are much higher than the other numbers.
Rules
Depending on the numbers of players at the beginning of the game the game will either be played in one single round or in serveral rounds which lead to a final prize round. The host will announce whether each player will get more than one point to start off and how many. The host stands at a single die and will roll that die to see which player starts.
Each player stands at a pair of dice.
To play the game, the first player rolls the dice hidden. That player then has three choices.
- He can tell the truth and say what he has rolled.
- He can fibb and say he has rolled something higher.
- He can fibb and say he has rolled something lower.
The next player now has two options:
- He can believe the previous player and try to roll something higher without looking at what the previous player had rolled. If in that case he doesn't roll a higher number he has to fibb and give a score that is higher than the previous player's score. Otherwise he loses a point.
- He can call the previous player a fibber and ask him to show what he had rolled. If this happens, the previous player will show his dice and if he gave a score higher than the dice show the previous player loses a point. However, if the previous player has rolled the same or more than the score he said the current player loses a point.
The scoring order is : (note: the high die is always the first digit and the low die always the second).
31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, double 1s, double 2s, double 3s, double 4s, double 5s, double 6s and the highest score: Max (2 + 1)
If a player rolls a "Max" (2 + 1) he can show his dice straight away and the next player loses a point because there is no score higher that he could get.
Each time a player loses a point the turn returns to him to start a new roll. If however that player has lost his only or his last point the turn to start a new roll goes to the player that caused him lose a point.
Each player must declare a score higher than the preceding player or call the previous player a fibber and be correct to avoid losing a point.
NOTES
The dice always get rolled hidden. If a player makes a mistake and rolls a die so that everyone can see it he has to roll that die again.
If a player gets confused with the scoring and announces for example 26 instead of 62. The host will tell him that there is no 26 in this game and whether he wanted to say 62 instead so he can correct his mistake.
If a player announces a score that is the same or lower than the score of the previous player he loses a point.
When a player gets asked to show his dice he has to click on "Show result to others". If he messes this up and rolls the die instead he will lose a point no matter what the dice will show in the end.
If there are not more than seven players we will play the game in one single round. With up to five players each player will get 3 points to beginn with. With 6 to 7 players each player gets 2 points to start off. If there are more than seven players at the beginning of the game the game gets played in serveral rounds and each player will only get one point to start off. A player is out when he has lost his last or only point.
When the game is played in one single round regs will close before the first player takes his second turn. In a multi round game regs will close before the last round starts. The doorprizes will be raffled amongst the registered players.
Multi Round Game
If time allows us we want to play 5 rounds. The winners of the first 4 rounds will go onto the final prize round and compete for the main prizes.
In case that time runs out we will only play 3 rounds before the final round. In that case the first 2 of the thrird round will go to the final prize round.
In the final round the one who loses first gets 4th pick on the main prizes, the one who loses next gets 3rd pick, the next one 2nd pick and the one who stays in game last wins and gets the 1st pick on the prizes. Have fun.
